The City Council of Serranillos del Valle relies on the consultancy services of Novotec, a company of the Applus+ Group, to obtain the Next Generation funds in the field of energy efficiency.

The work consists of the development of a comprehensive proposal for the application of a grant linked to the DUS 5000 Programme, a grant scheme for investments in unique local clean energy projects for towns of less than 5000 inhabitants, as is the case of this town.

The consultancy contract includes the Energy Audit of the Municipality, the study for the implementation of a photovoltaic collection system for the partial supply of public street lighting and various sports facilities and support in the preparation of the public call for tenders for the implementation contract. It will also be responsible for the preparation of the IDAE justification, the presentation and monitoring of the project within the DUS5000 Plan, and the Technical Assistance of the Project during the execution phase, as well as the verification and certification of the end of the work.

Within the framework of the PREE 5000 and DUS 5000 programme, at Novotec we provide support to our clients in applying for grants for the development of Energy Efficiency improvements for public sector installations in the different calls for applications available. This service includes the preparation of proposals for improving the efficiency of the facilities and the preparation of the necessary documents for the processing of applications, both of which are eligible for subsidies. 

Novotec also offers complementary services to achieve the implementation, such as the preparation of the executive project, support in the preparation of the tender documents, the implementation of the project and the verification of compliance for the release of funds.

This aid scheme financed by the European Union under the Next Generation Funds is a great opportunity for Spanish municipalities, as well as for the governing bodies, so that energy efficient, sustainable and environmentally friendly systems are implemented in parallel to the achievement of optimisation and savings in energy expenditure for both the municipality and its residents.
